UK-China Joint Vocational Skills & Talent Development Centre

The official inauguration of the “UK-China Joint Vocational Skills & Talent Development Centre” in Lanzhou, Gansu marked a significant milestone, witnessed by a distinguished gathering of government officials, emphasizing the pivotal nature of the partnership between TQUK and Lanzhou Cultural & Creative Industrial Park.
British Ambassador to China, Dame Caroline Wilson, highlighted Lanzhou's unique strengths in the creative and digital industries, while underlining the UK's role in providing complementary expertise in well-established vocational education systems and internationally recognized qualifications. This partnership aims to broaden access to international skill certifications, ultimately enhancing individual career prospects.
Deputy Director General of the Gansu Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, Mr. He Yongqiang, emphasized the need for the centre to pioneer innovative approaches to internationalise vocational training, drive cooperation projects to fruition with high standards, leverage platform strengths, align with the development requirements of local enterprises and vocational institutions, deepen industry-education integration and school-enterprise partnerships, ultimately aiming to establish a benchmark for UK-China vocational education cooperation in the region and beyond.
Meeting with Minister for Early Education

While representing TQUK at the World Digital Education Conference in Wuhan, China, our Marketing Director Daniel had the privilege to attend a lunch meeting with the UK's Minister for Early Education, Stephen Morgan MP, where discussions not only revolved around the future of education and digital learning globally, but also centred around recent policy reforms and the challenges encountered in developing skills education in Asia.

Organised by the UK's Department for Business & Trade, this mission offered us a valuable opportunity to engage with numerous esteemed individuals, including government officials and key stakeholders in vocational education from Malaysia and Indonesia. The insightful discussions and expertise sharing have had a profound impact on fostering future collaboration between TQUK and local TVET providers. We firmly believe that the connections established during the mission have laid a solid foundation for future partnerships.
UK Skills Mission to China

This visit has opened doors for future collaborations between British and Chinese counterparts in vocational education. It was an honour for us to present successful case studies highlighting TQUK's skill qualifications to esteemed representatives from HRSS's vocational colleges, and we were thrilled to engage in fruitful discussions with them regarding potential collaboration. Together, we aspire to achieve an even more robust integration, strengthening the Sino-British relationship and propelling both nations towards a prosperous future.
