TQUK’s Qualifications Become the First UK Vocational Skills Recognised in China

We are thrilled to announce a major achievement: On November 28th, the Shanghai Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau released the city’s first—and China’s first-ever—Directory of Overseas Vocational Skills Comparison and Recognition. TQUK’s qualifications in Caregiving and Elderly Care have been successfully included in this groundbreaking directory. 

Unlike previous recognitions, which primarily focused on professional qualifications in fields such as accounting, engineering, or scientific research, etc., this new directory places a strong emphasis on vocational skills. This makes us the first vocational skills awarding body in the UK to receive official recognition in China.

This milestone establishes a meaningful and actionable framework for aligning UK vocational qualifications with China’s national occupational standards. We believe this will serve as a blueprint for other regions across China, enabling broader recognition of international vocational skills qualifications, and creating new opportunities for the mobility and growth of global talent across diverse sectors.

This achievement is the result of years of dedicated effort, collaboration, and partnership.
